To those complaining about how Top Gear is not about the cars any more – the fact that its SO funny means that my wife will happily watch it with me! Grado, the idea of top gear is that the “stereotypical” presenters represent the hopes and dreams of every middle aged man who dreams to be as funny (because of the stereotypes) and as lucky as to work for top gear. We are not only after technical car info but we are for entertainment. You see, opinions vary but the fact of the matter is, unlike you, many of us viewers prefer Top Gear over the dreary 5th gear.

Top Gear is not the most popular tv show on BBC if it were not because of its presenters, Grado. Fifth Gear is also about cars that is why it is superior to Top gear, the hosts also aren’t stereotypical.įifth gear is superior to Top Gear ? What drugs are you taking grado? I could only assume the American one will probably not be nearly as popular. I would not be surprised if most people watch Top gear just for the humor. It almost seems that the cars are not the main focus anymore. It is supposed to be a show about cars, not just a bunch of jokes. You guys seem to be forgetting what the idea of top gear is. Hopefully the delay will lead to an improvement in the format and less blatant scripting.

They mustve pushed it back since The stig was revealed and they have to replace him with a new tame race car driver 🙁 gonna miss stiggy! It will undoubtedly be lame, possibly even lamer than Fifth Gear. I know its not a whole season but there is definatly one specail in the works for this year. Its a shame, I love Top Gear so it will be hard to wait that long but channel 9 is advertising an Ashes Specail. I will give it a shot but US Top Gear is gonna be horrific if they put Tanner as the host. Top Gear UK is hands down the best automotive show, if not the greatest show ever. That supercars exposed show was boring and he had no sense of humor. The snippet above from Top Gear mag was published a few weeks prior to that confirmation. I suppose they may have known Collins was about to out himself a few months ago, but the news was only confirmed in the last week or so.
